Lidl and Standing Tall win national award

Here’s a small big story for you.

18 months ago, a small but mighty social business said hello to a big (and mighty too!) supermarket chain.

The conversation started in a room full of people from businesses and organisations all wanting to make the world a fairer place.

‘We could work together,’ we said to each other.

So a young man was supported to move away from homelessness into a stable job and a safe home.

Then the conversation continued, ‘let’s help 10 more people,’ we said to each other.

Now we're up to the here and now.

The next person starts work next week.

This week, Lidl and Standing Tall won together SRAG’s ‘Stronger Together’ Social Value Award at Old Trafford.
