Daily check-ins turn into weekly check-ins. And once everyone feels 100% comfortable we wean off to one check-in per month.

You get three hours of expert one-on-one training where you’ll learn simple coaching techniques grounded in playing to people’s strengths.
This training lets you bring out the best in people. And that’s everything from conversation skills to helping your guest build self-esteem and the confidence to create and achieve goals.
6-MONTH LETS
Earn a consistent rental income — and change a life at the same time
Each rental agreement is for six months.
During this time your earnings are guaranteed. And through the Government’s ‘Rent a room’ scheme, you’re entitled to earn up to £7,500 per year tax free.
LICENCE AGREEMENT
For your total peace of mind
You and your guest sign an agreement to keep everyone safe — and on the same page.
Standing Tall pays your rent directly to you for Months 1, 2 and 3. In months 4, 5, and 6, your guest has regained personal budgeting skills and they’ll pay you themselves.

Yes! Once we’ve created a match. The next steps are for us all to get together for a cuppa and to confirm it’s a good fit.

You’ll receive strengths-based training upfront to support you in your role. And you’ll catch up with us regularly to fill us in on your guest’s progress. We’re always on hand to support and answer any questions you have along the way.

You’ll learn about our Theory of Change model so you can help your guests set achievable goals. These small goals are the stepping stones towards building resilience and returning to independent living.

No! You’re not your guest’s baby sitter. Your role as an Amici Host is to play the role of a friend - you stand beside them as they do they work.

No. Again, your guest is working towards independence. But some of our Amici Hosts do enjoy sitting down with their guest for dinner once a week.

We work with each guest directly for six weeks, before even considering them for a match. Before this, they’ve already worked with one of our partners for six months. Over four years, we’ve developed an assessment and selection model allowing us to identify when a person is ready for this opportunity.

Right now, 80% of our candidates are still off the streets and thriving in the same job one year later.

Both you and your guest will sign a live document upfront, to set ground rules. This helps to everyone’s safety and make sure everyone is on the same page. If things don’t work out, we simply terminate the contract and we’ll work towards a more suitable match.
