Standing Tall Hosts First-ever Summit to Tackle Homelessness

Standing Tall, the social business that helps people experiencing homelessness leave the streets for good with their innovative model of a stable job and safe home with one-to-one support, has announced its inaugural Standing Tall Summit, taking place on Wednesday, 16th October 2025, at the Library of Birmingham

The Summit will bring together changemakers—including partners, businesses, Hosts, and people who have experienced homelessness—to share stories, learning, and solutions to one of society’s most pressing challenges. 

A space for collaboration and inspiration 

The event will give you: 

  • The opportunity to hear inspiring stories from people supported by Standing Tall who have transitioned out of homelessness 

  • The chance to engage with responsible businesses including Network Rail, Barclays, ISS, and Serco creating meaningful employment opportunities 

  • The opportunity to hear from Amici Hosts offering safe and stable homes 

  • The chance to join Impact Partners working together to drive sustainable change 

Attendees will have the opportunity to network with purpose-driven businesses invested in social impact, learn from lived experiences, and explore tangible steps toward ending homelessness. 

Christy Acton, Founder and CEO, of Standing Tall, said: 

“Homelessness is one of the defining social issues of our time. This Summit is about bringing together people who care deeply about change to share insight, celebrate progress, and build collective momentum for a future where everyone has a safe home and meaningful work.” 

The event will run from 11:00am to 3:00pm, with lunch provided. 

The Summit will be a powerful day of collaboration and renewal hosted at one of Birmingham’s most iconic venues.
